For my part, I played HL1 in 1999 at 800x600 (a revelation after 320x240) and HL2 in 2004 at 1920x1080. EDIT: I remembered wrong, HL2 would have been 1600x1200 in 2004. Wow, okay so my estimate of the 90s AND 2004 was way lower (in terms of resolution) than was actually popular. Alright, cool!
